Cindy Sweet from University of Tennessee at Knoxville presented on Creating a 24/7 Virtual Admissions Office. Hobsons is a global provider of higher education marketing and technology services and houses EMT which is Enrollment Management Technology. All millennials want everything to be easy and want it now. At UTK, 38% of their questions occur after traditional office hours and 18% on the weekends. 90% of their questions can now be answers on the web through Hobson’s Answer product. This product is asks “Smokey” a question and receives an immediate answer. Cindy also discussed the reporting tool with Hobson’s and told each of us to remember that “People will never forget how we make them feel”.
