Registrar – East Tennessee State University

East Tennessee State University is a major, public, comprehensive university with broad undergraduate, master’s, professional and doctoral programs. The university is comprised of 11 colleges and schools that currently enroll in excess of 14,500 students. It is located in Johnson City Tennessee, a vibrant community in the “Tri-Cities” region (with an MSA population in excess of 500,000).

The Registrar, reporting to the Provost, serves as the chief academic records officer and custodian of student academic records. The Registrar is responsible for pursuing best practices in a comprehensive and integrated approach to lead the Office of the Registrar including oversight of budgets and staff. The Registrar must demonstrate excellent customer service skills to serve a diverse group of stakeholders including students, staff, and faculty; and possess the ability to think strategically, prioritize effectively and act decisively to address strategic goals and competing priorities.
